Because hotels, vehicles, and permits for your trip are booked in advance on your behalf, cancellations closer to your departure date recover a smaller share of amounts paid. The exact refund slab that applies to your booking will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking, based on how far ahead of departure you're cancelling and which services have already been paid for on your behalf.

Permit and government fees

Fees already paid for Inner Line Permits, Protected Area Permits, or park/safari entry are typically non-refundable once submitted, regardless of when the rest of the trip is cancelled, since these are paid to government or park authorities directly.

Weather and route closures

For high-altitude routes (Sela Pass, Bumla Pass) that can close due to weather, we'll work with you on rescheduling or an alternative route where possible, rather than treating a closure as a standard cancellation.

Travel insurance

We recommend travel insurance for every trip, and specifically for weather-dependent routes into Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, to cover circumstances outside our control.

How to cancel
